  Today's Tarot 8/31/24: We have the Two of Cups. Cups deals with emotions, love and spiritual things. The two represents finding balance. In looking at this card, I see two people, perhaps lovers, where there has been some emotional turmoil in the relationship or friendship. We can see that with all the clouds in the background. They were on shaken ground for a minute. But they are beginning to find some balance in their emotions and allowing themselves to open up and understand each other. Also in the photo, notice that he is in the boat and she is in the water. This actually makes me think of the movie, Splash, at the end guy is deciding whether or not to join his mermaid girlfriend for the rest of his life in the ocean. Today tarot is the cups in reverse. Let's keep in mind that we are in full moon. The cups speaks of emotions, representing water and healing. Today some of us may be dealing with something that has come back up from our past. Sometimes in our daily life, a memory can be triggered that can take us into a dark place. Just when we think we have made the changes we need to move towards higher ground in our lives, something will pop up that will take us to that memory of a painful past. Remember, the full moon.   Just Go With It Today's tarot card comes from my CBD De Maseille deck. They were originally created in 1760, then restored & adapted in 2010. The card I drew is the 5 of Cups. Cups is about our emotions, love, and things to do with our spirituality. The 5 represents stability and change. It seems that over the past week, the daily readings have been about pushing forward and staying strong even when things to not seem to be going as we set out for them to. The 5 of Cups reveals that our emotions my be the reason we are not making the progress we are working so hard for. Cups represent water and water is about healing.   Today's tarot comes from the fun & whimsy Alice In Wonderland deck. When I pulled from the deck, I saw that 2 cards came out instead of just 1, an indication that both need to be read together. Let's start first with the 4 of Wands. Many of us have been very busy this year, trying hard to make the changes in our lives that we have committed to. This 4 of wands indicates that it is okay to rest a bit, sometimes we have to do that to regain our bearings and meditate on what we need to do next. But take warning with the next card, The Chariot.   Keep Pushing Forward Today's tarot card is the 7 of Laurel, aka Pentacles. I just love this beautiful art work on this card from the Heavenly Bloom deck by Noa Ikeda. Laurels/Pentacles is about money and the 7 can be about us reflecting on what we are doing, perhaps doing some inventory or evaluating where we are at. In this case, evaluating on what progress we are making in regards to work/finances. Sometimes we can get at a cross road where it feels like we are putting so much in one direction with very little pay off or no pay off at all. Yes, there are two paths that we can choose from. One will be one to bring us more peace and balance, the other may bring us back to the situation we are trying to get out of. I do not believe that there is a right or wrong decision. Life is a journey we learn lessons from and gain wisdom. In doing so, it allows me to see what chakra is most needed to be addressed in the reading. This card indicates the heart chakra, notice the green around it. Although I am displaying the photo with the card upright, when I drew it, it was in reverse. So I will read it as a reverse card. The cups is always about emotions, love and spiritual matters. I was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, a place where seafood is abundant and I love just about all of it. Although, lobster is not an abundance here in my hometown, I can still get it almost for what this country pays for commodities such as: gas, toilet paper and eggs. Today's tarot card is the Ace of Pentacles. There is a lot to say about this card, as it stands for new beginnings in regards to money. I believe for many of us, we have thoughts and ideas of what our needs and desires are, but we limit ourselves in how we obtain what we want. We must heal our relationship with money. We are good at manifesting what we want, but what comes after is the hard part: gratitude, trust and expectations. When we manifest something, we must have gratitude for the magical miracles the Universe has already provided us with, trust that once we put our needs and desires out it will manifest into a reality and expect the Universe to work it's magic. Tarot Today: Please forgive me for not posting yesterday. I had to attend a funeral and I got caught up with family I have not seen in awhile. It was a bittersweet day. Today's Tarot is The Lovers in reverse. Personally I stay away from love readings. Tarot Readings are for the person who is receiving the reading. My readings are intended to fill my client with Enlightenment that will give them the Encouragement to step into their own Empowerment.
